TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER AND CRITERIA
1.1 Each participant may enter as an individual in the Best Dressed Male or Female Category.
1.2 Entry into this competition constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions
1.3 All entry forms must be completed online or on the day of the event prior to 12.30pm
1.4 For race categories and judging criteria please refer to the judging categories below and in printed form on the registration table on the day of the event.
1.5 All entrants must have a paid ticket/entry into the official Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday Function to be held in the Gold Coast Turf Club Event Centre to qualify for entry into the competition.
1.6 All judges are appointed as an external party. The Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday committee ‘The Organiser’ takes no responsibility for any issues relating to judging, entrants, or winners.
1.7 A maximum of 120 entrants will apply. The first contestants to register will take preference.
1.8 The Organiser and GCTC staff are not permitted to enter.
1.9 Prizes will be listed on the day and are subject to change at any time at the Organiser’s discretion.
1.10 If the Organiser for any reason becomes aware that after a contestant has won a prize that they have not complied with these terms and conditions or that their entry is invalid, that contestant will have no entitlement to the prize (even if they have been announced as a winner). That contestant will be required, at the direction of the Organiser to return, refund or otherwise make restoration of the prize.

2. JUDGING CATEGORIES
2.1 Best Dressed Female
• Outfit to be of classic race wear style for the Spring Season.
• The style, originality and suitability of the outfit should be appropriate for a woman attending a Metropolitan Race Meeting during the Spring Racing Carnival.
• Skirt length should not be above the knees, narrow shoulder straps and strapless bodices are strongly discouraged.
• Attention to detail will be appraised for accessories, shoes, bag & millinery.
• Millinery is compulsory and should be appropriate for the spring season.
• A demonstration of an understanding and interpretation of the current race wear fashion trends will be looked upon favourably.
• Elements of the outfit should reflect current trends without losing the contestant’s personal flair.
• The contestant will be appraised for grooming and deportment.
2.2 Best Dressed Male
• Outfit should be of classic race wear for the Spring Season.
• The style, originality and suitability of the outfit should be appropriate for a gentleman attending a Metropolitan Race Meeting during the Spring Racing Carnival.
• Contestants must wear a suit and tie (or alternative neckwear).
• A demonstration of an understanding and interpretation of the current gentleman’s race wear fashion trends will be looked upon favourably.
• Elements of the outfit should reflect current trends without losing the contestant’s personal flair.
• A gentleman’s hat is not compulsory but will be looked upon favourably.
• The contestant will be appraised for grooming and deportment and attention to detail.
2.3 Best Millinery – Male or Female
• The millinery will be appraised for:
• Originality, concept of design theme, quality, workmanship and wearability
• The millinery should be coordinated with the outfit worn.
• The contestant will be appraised for grooming, deportment, and attention to detail.
• To be eligible for this category, a headpiece is compulsory.
2.4 The Organiser will select the judging panel, with each entry being judged based on the judging criteria. The criteria will be interpreted by the judges and the winners will be selected at their discretion. The judges have the final decision, and no correspondence will be entered into.

3.0 PRIZES, PERSONAL DETAILS & PERMISSIONS
3.1 Participants must, at the Organiser’s reasonable request;
• participate in all promotional and editorial activity (such as photography) in conjunction with this campaign and the winning of any prize, free of charge, and consent to the Organisers using their name and image in promotional material.
• Participants consent to being filmed, photographed, or recorded without compensation while participating in this campaign or in taking or using any prize, and they consent to the Organisers reiterating any such promotional activity.
3.3 Any prizes containing food or beverage will not be permitted to be opened or consumed on the premises. Any opened item will be confiscated and discarded.
3.4 Prizes are to be taken as offered and cannot be split or changed unless authorised by the Organiser. Prize value includes GST and is in Australian dollars. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value between the date of publication and the date of the competition.
3.5 If the prizes are lost, stolen, damaged or tampered with for any reason once in the possession of the ‘winner’ (including on the Gold Coast Turf Club grounds) the Organiser nor venue will not be held liable for this loss and the prize will not be replaced.
3.6 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.
3.7 The Organiser will collect personal details through registration forms, involvement in the campaign and on request from participants, to conduct the campaign and offer prizes. If personal details are requested and are not provided, the participant may not be able to take part in the competition.
3.8 All entry details may be entered into a database and the Organiser may use the participant’s details to send out information and marketing material pertaining to next year’s event, including digital messages at their discretion. This will occur unless the participant notifies the Organiser that they do not want their personal details to be used in this capacity during the registration method.

4.0 GENERAL
4.1 Once fully completed (or partially completed), all entry forms will become the property of the Organiser.
4.2 Registrations are deemed to be accepted at the time the entry is received in the registration record and not at the time of the submission. The Organiser will take no responsibility for incomplete, late, or lost entries.
4.3 The Organiser’s decision is final regarding the campaign in its entirety.
4.4 Contestants must not make derogatory comment, disparage or in any way make negative mention (whether in person verbally, electronically or by any other means) about the Organiser, sponsors, judges, or other contestants at any time.
4.5 Contestants are only permitted to enter the competition in their own private capacity.
4.6 For men and women’s fashions the contestants and/or their outfits are not permitted to receive benefit or payment (whether financial or other) from a third party for appearing in the competition and are not permitted to promote a commercial brand, store, or designer.
4.7 Entrants must not be styled or dressed by a designer, brand or milliner and any contestant discovered to be dressed by or styled by a designer, brand or milliner will automatically be disqualified and prizes revoked.
4.8 Contestants who fail to appear, at the instructed time for their competition category for any reason will be disqualified from the competition and their entry will become invalid. The Organiser takes no responsibility for contestants not attending their competition time and category.
